Del Rio’s culture of educational excellence prepares students for their future

The San Felipe - Del Rio Consolidated Independent School District serves more than 10,000 students with nine elementary schools, two middle schools and several high school options focused on specific learning opportunities in the Del Rio area. Its vision is to embrace a belief in developing a strong culture of courage, collaboration, innovation and self-direction. The district is committed to ensuring high expectations and high standards that will equip and produce learners who will excel academically, in life and their careers.

In 2014, the district committed $25 million toward the construction of the Gerardo Maldonado CTE Center, the Blended Academy, the Early College High School and more buildings and renovations. The Early College High School allows students to earn an Associate’s Degree and a high school diploma simultaneously at no cost to them or their families.
